This entire summer has been out of my control for much of what I wanted to do, and there have been many tests that seemed to push my limits of sanity...but all tools aside, I have almost finished another project, and will release this as another on-line 'do-it-yourself' in the Spring / Fall issue (April/May)

Most of the last few months in my free-time; I have been retrieving data and repairing my computers from stupid attacks. The eMail database (lycos) has been on hold, because all have been lost or deleted due to a period of my inactivity within the lycos/tripod system. I appologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and I ask that you please do NOT re-post your info until after the new year..thank you.

Be sure to check Google for:

"CopyCat Multimedia" online regularly.

If you noticed; the new eBook (#29) My Digital Divide, has been moved for the 2010 version and will be back in April with a complete list of 'current' devices, services, tools for educators and new techies alike.

Some of the content of this continuing title, will be at the CEA's CES in January 2010. The new year's updates and reviews; is on the portable and mobile units, support/services, and most of all; must have apps and utils.

Recent studies have been in ARM7 proccessors with a WinARM language geared towards the Texas Instrument's DSPs, DLPs and some of the digital sensors for military and commercial applications. One of these applications are for the building of a new control unit (sporting clay enthusiasts). The new device is basically a game-machine for outdoor sportsmen. (Skeet and Sporting Clays are just a few). Technical specifications and electronic circuits fill the sheets on this device, but it is still not enough.

The new device won't help me or my favorite club; the Las Vegas Gun Club. after 60+ years its closing for good. My Aunt Ruthie was a seamstress, and she would have me pickup or deliver custom hunting jackets, vests, and accessories during big shoots, and i learned the sport of Trap & Skeet, plus Quail, Pheasant, Turkey, Duck, and other hunting skills early.

Later in time, I learned to help form the game known as: "Sporting Clays" (a better game-bird simulator); and it took me on a trip around the 'ol West with my car that ran on water in the 80's. (more on this 'hydrocar' here).

Eventually; my calling for Vegas nights had me return many times, and I thought it would last forever, but Political issues and neighboring development has forced the club to fire its last weapon in December. I have been doing what I could for the club all year...field maintanance, lead retreival, machine service, electronic repairs...etc.

Everything at the club must go this Winter, and there are alot of things that need a good home. I have been hit with the triple-wammy of all things this past year, and I hope the next brings me a bunch of luck with some answers on the side. Until the time for a working and paying job comes around my way; i will be putting a bit more time into CopyCat Multimedia and Software.

It was just a few years ago that I was pushing the new PMP (portable media player) and hoping to share the values of carrying around your favorite movies and music with friends, now I have to understand the true nature of things...nothing lasts forever.

In the new eBook for next year; the manufactures and services within, have promised to remain on subject for atleast 18 months. That means most of the 12 month warranty will be history. Just last year a couple vendors and providers have proposed 'lifetime' warranties rather than _extended_. I for one will be happy for 24 or even 36 months!

I know i said that this year would be no different for change on the website (everything will be free) but; a healthy and active lifestyle is very straining on all resources plus, my doctor insists that I eat better. So in respect to continued support and donations, everyone that contributes will receive a bit more for the buck.

Return to this site often for free and informative views on the things I find fun interresting each year. The next mailout of the CopyCat Newsletter will be April / May and you can expect a full story on the closing of the Las Vegas Gun Club in a separate issue. Meanwhile, if you want to buy any of the shooting supplies, target machines (PatTrap, Western, and Porte plus, the well known Canterburry Voice Release Systems) you are more than welcome to come to the club and outright buy or make a bid on or after December 9th.

There will be all kinds of stuff to do; games for all shooters, plenty of food, and of course; a full-out sale of everything...even me ;)
Click on the link above to join the buyer/bidder list...or email here.

I will miss the club and all the members so much it'll hurt me forever. Growing-up in Vegas; it was the best place for family, fun and good friendships.
